Fun things to draw when your really bored?

-Im really bored and I wanted to draw I can't think of anything to draw (that's how bored i am.)

Thanks!!!!!!!!!Still life. Try to draw your desk or something and try to get the shadows right.

Or you could draw cartoons.

Or you could draw stick figures going step by step into a cartwheel or running or something lol
Find a book with a detailed picture on it, and try to imitate it.
I usually have that same problem lol. I seem to like drawing koi fish a lot since they're simple
your friends :) people love it when you draw them!

How to give my photos purpose?

-I'm a beginning photographer, and all my photos I feel have no purpose, composition, or meaning. Any help? Thanks!Take pictures of things you like, and try taking them from different angles. Find a book in the library about composition. One that I like and is really easy to follow is "David Pogue's Digital Photography: The Missing Manual". It offers great advice on taking different shots.

Usage of angles and lighting are very important, and try to take pictures of things, people, or moments that could touch people emotionaly. Just keep this in mind.

What information is supposed to be included in a watermark?

-Watermarks in photosSome people just put a huge 漏 right in the middle of their photos.

I place a semi-transparent watermark that says 漏 2011, My Name, All rights reserved right through the middle of the image. This precludes anyone just cropping out the copyright notice.

What else you can do if posting your work on a photo website for sharing, is make your image no larger than 600x400 pixels @ 72 DPI
Watermark symbols like 漏 庐 鈩?br>
Your name or signature

Date time

You company or group LOGO

Your private LOGO

See here http://www.watermark-software.com/sample鈥?/a>
it can be anything you want.... your name, or initials or copyrighted or the copyright logo
The name of the copyright holder.

Do you consider Jackson Pollock's paintings art?

-I have drop cloth that looks just like his work. Maybe I'll frame it and sell it to sucker.I like art, and I think Jackson Polluck is talented on some level, but what infuriates me is the fact that so many paintings in this world cost millions of dollars! Seriously, paintings are not worth a $100 million dollars. I don't care how rich a person is, but to spend that much money on any painting whether its Van Gogh, Picasso, or even Polluck is not worth it.
Yes. Do I enjoy looking at them? No. Just because you don't like them it doesn't render his work not art. Perhaps this is where the ideas of high-art and low-art come in. The idea that some art work is worth more to our culture and to us personally than others. Perhaps you should try reading a couple of articles or interviews where he talks about his work. Perhaps you might find it more interesting. I really enjoy Bridget Riley's work after discovering how much time she spends thinking about the colours and illusions she's creating. The straight lines have connections to painting painted by great masters. Perhaps Pollock is trying to convey something and we're just not 'getting' it. Although, clearly someone is enjoying it, and someone considers it art.
Pollock was an innovator, as such he has earned the respect of the public and his work is considered art by historians and critics. What I think is irrelevant... He will always be known for his unique contribution to the art world.
On the same level of other, Piet Mondrian, Joan Mir贸, Paul Klee, Alfredo Volpi
a five-year-old could do better
not even if someone who got their phd in art said so

People melt over something i do good .. .?

-hi! a lot of people melt over my drawings, or just be in surprise on what i just drew. i consider my self a good drawer, especially when it comes to horses :) i get my 'talent' from my dad.

well, anyways when i show a finished piece to someone they always say

"OMG you are SO good! i wish I could draw like THAT!"

and other things that an impressed person would say to an artist. call me crazy, but it's annoying! i know, some of you will say 'oh its a compliment' or 'its ok, they mean it in a nice way'. but it just bothers me. after the person has commented on my drawing, i say thanks and go put it away, or go about my Business yet again. my mom and dad say that i should be happy from these comments and embrace my drawing ability.

don't get me wrong, i'm proud of my skill, and i'm not bragging. i enjoy sharing accomplishments with my piers, even if it took half and hour. i would post a pic of 1 or 2 of my drawings, but i don't know how. ha ha!

well, all in all, here is my dilemma: how can i tell people it is no big deal, and its a drawing?

im no Picasso or Van Gogh, but i can draw better than the average 12 year old. help?

i am NOT bragging, please don't interpret it that way!!Don't worry, I get that a lot too. I feel the same way. Anyway, when anyone looks over my shoulder or comments, I get agitated and will either scribble the drawing out or hide it. Depends on how it looks.

I think that you are sensitive to people paying too much attention to your art, your style, it's almost as if somebody is violating your personal space, or something along those lines. Not many artists are really always happy with their work, and if someone is melting over that piece of art, it puts you under the impression that they're just simply happy with that, that that's all they expect of you and that you can't do any better in the future. You are probably very talented and don't feel that way, but I sure do. Once in a while I don't mind a little compliment to keep me ensured that I'm not a horrible artist, but I usually have nothing to do with my drawings or paintings in a crowd (which, to me, is more than four people) because the more people obsess, the more upset I would get.

Artistry has no roots whatsoever in the Thompson line, I can only name two good artists on my mom's side and the only other ones are my stepfather and real father, who are only good at inanimate things in architecture and in my stepfather's case, chickens. X) I get sick of comments. "NO. I DID NOT GO TO ART CLASS. PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE."

Anyway, aside from all this rambling, I think the best way is to go away from them if they approach to avoid any loud comments like "WHOA! DUDE! THAT is AMAZING!" which usually brings attention to you and can embarrass you. You can also go into a different room as you display your work, or simply tell them so stay low and not to overreact. That last reason doesn't work, in the case of me and my dad. Also, tell them if they like it, to calmly ask for a drawing in the future, if you're one to do requests for people, like I am.

...I hope I helped, and maybe since you're such a good artist, could you help a bit on my question? You sound like quite the artist...I'm barely older than you, so I'll understand. But I am NOT obligating you to. Promise.

...Did you seriously read all of that?!Dont worry, soon you & the other kids who answerd your question will be grown up & you wont be artists!
I'm super awesome too. Got it from my dad. Don't brag at all to others even if you want to, that will get you hated eventually.

Just let it go. People still fall over themselves when I draw and I take 5 min on an anatomy sketch and thier amazed.

That's just the way it is. Sooner or later they won't be as interested. If you think your not bragging your most likley lieing to yourself or your a teenager.

You have raw talent, don't take it lightly. Just because you can draw something doesn't mean you understand it. Get a scholarship, finish highschool, apply at a great college of the Arts, and develop that talent.
