-Hey, not to long ago I did a shoot for a friend and since then have posted the photos up on facebook. I edited them and I sign my first initial and last name in the lower right hand corner. It's small because I know how obnoxious huge logos can be. I noticed later that the person has made the photo their profile pic but has cropped the photo so my name is no longer on it. It's not just the removal of my name that bothers me but also the image quality goes down with further cropping and it's not cropped in the best way.
What do you guys suggest I do?If you gave them the disk, you shouldn't do anything about it.
Even if you have a contract that states "no editing," your only course of action is to send them a cease and desist letter followed by an expensive lawsuit.
Suing your clients is really not going to help you to build a business. If you don't want people editing your photos, do not send the photos to them in the first place.
