Does it may occur a problem after some time? or the quality of the coffee wash can be ruined if I use acrylic varnish?you mention acrylic paint, then acrylic varnish, one is for painting as in colors, then other as a sealer,
Coffee or tea painting is like water color done on water color paper,

if you you are only going to seal coffee wash use other fixative for water colors
if you are adding acrylics as color mixed media with wash , you can , thats up to you,
the acrylic varnish may dissolve coffee stains much the same as acrylics could dissolve water colors if layered as sealer coat, you could try spray in thin layer, but then you may be better to use water colour sealer anyways,
For what you want to do, test on spare paper and seal or apply acrylics as you planned,

..i know this isnt really an answer but more of a question, but i couldnt help it!! A coffee wash? I have never heard of anyone doing that.. did you just pour some coffee on a canvas? I know this doesnt help, but ive done tons of paintings, but never thought of doing a coffee wash. What does it look like?
