How to get into the gaming industry as an artist?

-I'm good at any kind of art, can do any kind of style. Been drawing whole life. No qualifications. How do I get into the gaming industry. It must be possible, if you have the skills?

Also... I love games, any platform. X-Box, Playstation, Nintendo, PC, you name it.

I'm working on an illustrated book right now. Do you think i'd have a better chance if I was published? Or is it never too soon to start trying?Yes it is possible, you maybe need some experiencing in Photoshop, illustrator, coral draw and other programs similar.



And if you ever go on an interview or something, you will need to provide a portfolio or some of your sketches, drawings of characters, scenery and even some work with using textiles.

Also you may need to provide artwork done on the programs too. The work has to be very consistent too, also be experimental and try to go over the limit too with your artworks.



I'm not sure you will have to have qualifications or not, but you might need an A level in at least two subjects relating to art and design.

You might also need a Foundation Degree, too, which is a very easy course to be honest.

Or you might need a degree too.
