Do I have to ink my artwork?

-I've decided to make my drawing more seriously but I'm wondering if it's essential that I learn how to ink I'm more comfortable using a pen than a brush. Can't I fine-line instead?It's essential that you learn all the basics and the tricks so that you can draw "more seriously".

Inking adds depth to the artwork. Also, use a pen if you're more comfortable with it.... Does anyone ink with a brush? I know some people who use marker brushes, but most people just use plain pens. I prefer writing pens, but people will also go with fine tipped felt ones. Depending on the type of art work you do inking it with fine lines works, if you're more into cartoon like images just increase your pen size and you'll be fine with the thicker lines.
