Why isn' my gel pen working?

-I have a scrapbook kit (a few years ago) that came with a gel pen and i just opened the kit. It worked and stopped but i got it working after a few hours. It stopped working and i can't get it back. I checked it and it stilk has alot of ink. I just need to know why it stopped working and what i have to do about it.im sorry to say this, but your gel pen has probably written its last words :'(

in a few years, the ink in the refill of a gel pen tends to dry up almost completely leaving a few bits of liquid in between. you seem to have hit one of these liquid bits after your valiant efforts, but it really is going to be more trouble than its worth.Sometimes pens tend to clog up at the tip, or if they're left out in open air for too long, they can stop working temporarily.



If you shake it, or even take a test paper and draw the pen on it, it might come back.
Just like what the first person mentioned, sometimes pens just get clogged up or dry up, etc.

Maybe you could try a little water to loosen the ink and make it flow better.
